Rain and slippery conditions are among the biggest challenges when it comes to road safety. Since safety is our core value, we did not stop until we found a way to improve wet performance throughout the life span of the Conti Urban HA 5. Our method: We took advantage of the fact that full wide sipes become pocket sipes when the centre grooves open. This increases the stiffness of the pattern and compensates for the wet performance lost when the centre groove opens from full wide to pocket sipes.

Noise is a nuisance both inside and outside the bus. Reducing noise and improving comfort was another priority when developing the Conti Urban HA 5. To achieve this goal, we used an innovative multi-pitch tread pattern technology that reduces noise perception - positioning the Conti Urban HA 5 for the ambitious A-rating for low noise. Together with perfectly balanced tyre structures and compounds, this guarantees a comfortable and smooth ride for people inside the bus and on the streets.

Mileage

Benefit from high mileage & low cost

Keeping costs low is an important task for every fleet manager. The Conti Urban HA 5 has what it takes to make it to be at the top of any efficiency ranking: To optimise LODC, void-generating grooves improve the rolling resistance performance and mileage. This state-of-the-art tread pattern enhances wet performance. By combining different cap and base compounds, conflicting application requirements can be balanced: The cap compound, which is in direct contact with the road surface, focuses on mileage and durability. The base compound is optimised for fuel efficiency. All in all, the Conti Urban HA 5 is a tyre that lasts longer and consumes less fuel.
